Hugh Balchin

Hugh is a Solicitor in the Private Client department working in our Williton Office.

Hugh trained in the City of London and has worked both in-house for large commercial entities and, for the majority of his career, in private practice. Hugh deals with Probate Applications; Will writing; Powers of Attorney and, Court of Protection matters in our Williton office.

Having worked in both commercial and private practice organizations, Hugh has developed many skills now applicable to his Private Client work with the firm. Wills and Probate work can often need a sympathetic touch when assisting the recently bereaved. Hugh's commercial awareness can be brought to bear when considering possible tax and other legal "problems" which might arise when client's are seeking advice on how best to structure their affairs both pre- and post- death.

Hugh is a very keen gardener and is currently rejuvenating a long established garden on a hillside in the Somerset countryside.
